Section of criminal code amendments introduced in the House of Commons of #Canada today.
This adds hate as a sentencing factor, bumping up sentences by "1 category" relative to the same offence without the hate factor.
Also better definitions, prohibition of displaying hate symbols, MUCH easier to start hate crime proceedings, intimidation protection for various places that hate criminals try to attend.
Seems like great steps, long overdue.
