But in talking about it just this morning, it occurred to me how close it is to "trauma". Say trauma, then switch the m for n, and you're very close.

BTW, visiting Americans do some strange things to Nanaimo and Youbou, and almost nobody gets Tsawwassan even approximately right (Wikipedia is definitely wrong). -
