Maybe I've read too many survival books (Adrift: Seventy-six Days Lost At Sea at way too young an age) and too much frontier history, but I was genuinely expecting this to be like 90 days, minimum. Half of them have already gone home.

This is the kind of guy I thought all of these dudes were, at the beginning, but it's clear most of them have never actually been to a wild place.

I think Alan could live out there as long as he wants to, but he's going stir crazy by himself.

Sam seems to be better suited to being alone, but he's trying and failing to trap mice, which seems like desperation. Things are going pretty bad when you're sad about not catching mice to eat.

Day 32. Four guys still left. Things are looking up. Not for Sam, he's excited about catching one (1) tiny mouse, but maybe somebody will get a decent run.

He's also cooking and eating his tiny mouse in his sleeping shelter. Sam is not ready for this at 22. Alan at 40-something has a significant experience advantage.
