I wonder if these things are related.@stefano I am certain they are. So far, #tech companies are pouring billions into #AI but there is little to no #roi.
For AI to be used correctly it needs to serve some otherwise mundane function, not replace staff with decades of institutional #knowledge.
So far, we've seen AI churn out glitchy #pictures and #erroneous #text #generation.
Call me a #Luddite, but this is definitely an instance where going back to the olden days is necessary, i.e. a decentralized #internet run by #humanbeings.

crescita organica rispetto ad afflusso incondizionato. Il punto non è far crescere il Fediverso per I NUMMMMERIIII, ma educare la gente all'esistenza di una Rete migliore, che dà di piú, ma ne chiede pure.

I’ve been working on a Slackware “afterboot(8)” document inspired by the
OpenBSD afterboot manual. It covers the important things to check right after
installation (network, wifi, hostname, fstab, services, security, etc).
I’m thinking about proposing this as a real manpage for Slackware.
What do you think — should Slackware have an official afterboot(8)?

Siamo ben oltre lo sfruttamento dei lavoratori immigrati. L’operazione anti caporalato della procura di Catania con tre persone arrestate perché li costringevano a vivere nel degrado, tra i topi, senza servizi igienici e con paghe da un euro e 26 centesimi l’ora, dice che si può parlare di riduzione in stato di schiavitù anche se l’accusa non viene formalmente contestata.
Capito perché fanno le supercazzole contro il salario minimo quelli che ce l’hanno già al massimo?
