Did a bit of that this time last year and not looking to repeat. 5 deg (F) (-15 C) temps and wind chill much lower (15-20 mph) on my hike partway up Mt Lafayette. Helped me figure out some layering for those conditions, but have no desire to repeat.
Iâm mostly a fair weather hiker. đ âïž -

But, even if it were just nurses, "stop killing us" is a reasonable demand.

Can someone explain to me the logic behind a nationwide nurse strike protesting people getting shot? I feel like I must be missing something, because normally a strike is meant as leverage against the organization most impacted by the strike. In the case of nurse strikes, the companies that own the hospitals are the target, with the demands being better pay or better hours or better equipment or whoever.
But nurses striking because people are getting shot by the government doesn't feel like there's any leverage at all.
What am I missing?
