Trying out some GhostBSD for a change. It's a pretty solid desktop experience ngl. The Mate desktop is better (and prettier) than my (old) memories about it.
But on my ThinkPad, I still prefer vanilla FreeBSD with XFCE4 as that feels more like "home" 🙂
Recently lost my father. Picked up his ashes this week and have no idea what to do with them. Would it be the worst thing in the world if I just sort of, left him in his house when I sell it?
OK... So like the encrypted home ZFS thing in #FreeBSD. How come I have to log in as root on every boot up and "zfs load-key" and "zfs mount" manually? Is there a way to do that on login or should I just give up using encryption on $HOME?
Unix philosophy reminder: Do one thing well. BastilleBSD keeps that spirit alive by automating FreeBSD jails cleanly. Small tools, composable power. What’s your favorite "do one thing well" tool?#FreeBSD #BastilleBSD #UNIX
