The CPL Final made the New York Times.
Be honest. Outside the NHL, no Canadian domestic league ever gets this kind of global attention. Not the NLL. Not the CEBL. Not the CFL. Most people didn’t even know Canada had a domestic soccer league until last night.
Now the weather is the star. People around the world want more blizzard football.
Which makes this New York Times piece funny. They’re worried MLS might move to a European schedule.
My dudes. The NFL plays outdoors in winter every year. If Americans can watch linemen freeze on the line of scrimmage, they can handle a little cold soccer.
