Just a few days ago a #multikernel architecture was proposed for #Linux kernel. Separate from that proposal from #MultikernelTechnologies, it turns out #Bytedance has been working on their own solution called #Parker. Today Bytedance lifted the lid on Parker as their solution for running multiple kernels simultaneously on the same hardware/system.
It looks like several firms are now pursuing multi-kernel experiments for better dealing with today's high core count systems

https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-Parker-Proposal@BenjaminHCCarr And once again, regular cloud tech people completely fail to grasp the history of computing... do people never learn about mainframes and openvms/aix/solaris? this is not new territory, just like the misconception that Docker made containers first, or that VMs were only new for existence when running on qemu (same people acting like ubuntu ever made anything new).
