I'm grateful to @pj and @kevin and @Casey for The Forkiverse. It turns out that a couple years ago I dabbled with Mastadon as my sole social media presence but I couldn't figure it out.

And now The Forkiverse is my home for talking and reading about books and reading about science. Good stuff.

@Curry @pj @kevin @Casey Similar. Left Twitter a couple years ago. I got to watch the Super Bowl instead of reading tweets during the game! (Well not really, I was bringing out trays of homemade pizza. But still).

Part of my experience is shaped by careful following ... easier here when folks are mostly Hard Fork and/or Search Engine listeners!

@wess my favorite thing about the Fediverse: genuine human connections.

I made so many friends here and I've been radicalized in the best possible way... Fediverse folks encouraged me to look into self-hosting and I've been running my own #GoToSocial #Pixelfed and #PeerTube instances 🤗
