@grammasaurus @wdlindsy Honestly, I couldn't care less about when I get a thing usually. Plus it's usually only a day's difference anyway. If that.
Again, for many of us, it's about cost. And we can turn to, say, Walmart, or sometimes even Target, but they're both bad too... (Target used to be ok, but not anymore.)
And I mean, buy local is great, but A. costs more as mentioned already, B. going inside COVID-19 infection zones, and C. fewer options.
All we can do is our best I guess.

@nazokiyoubinbou @wdlindsy I don’t have an easy answer for you. When I lived in a town of 1500 people I experienced some of what you mentioned—esp the higher prices part. I did learn to shop a lot less though! Now I’m in a town of 15,000 where a lot of people take pride in ‘buy nothing’ clubs, and repair cafes.

Mostly I just wanted to say the things that just needed to be said aloud. Most of it we already know. Boycotting one means going to another, but the other is just as bad. Boycott them too and you got to something else that is bad.
Really what it comes down to is people, as a whole, never should have let things get this bad. I don't know how we get out of this anymore.

@tk (water heating was / is integrated with heating water for the radiators, and changing *that* would have required too much work and expense. the quote for an air-water heat pump were, as I said, extortionate, so we added air-air heat pumps, but they are sized to work *together* with the radiators, not instead of them)
(one day we'll have a fully electric house, but it will need to happen through gradual changes)
(and yesterday, since the sun was shining and there was some warm wind, it was a bit too warm to turn on the heating anyway)

@stefano Sadly you're not the only one, I never published on Apple stores but lots of developers are frustrated by Apple's lack of feedback on rejected apps.

The beta of MastoBlaster has been rejected by Apple's reviewers. I did not receive any explanation, no email, nothing in the interface. It simply says it was rejected.
Most likely it happened because I did not provide login credentials for a user account, meaning I should have created an account in an instance and sent them the login details so they could test the app, but this is just my assumption.
I have now created an account and submitted the credentials with the review request. I will probably have to wait another two days, hoping it does not get rejected again or, if it does, that they at least tell me why.
The frustrating part is not the rejection itself, but the lack of explanation. An Apple developer account is paid, and I believe it would be fair to clearly state the reason for a rejection. We will see. For now, it confirms the same frustration I felt fifteen years ago, when one of my apps was rejected. I will talk about that another time.
