We have what must be a year's supply of dog food for Alonso. We ordered some, and then his owners gave us a big bag of his "senior" kibble and some chews.
We have been feeding Alonso regular adult dog food, which he evidently prefers.
When given a bit of each he will demolish the adult dog food and ignore the smaller "senior" kibble to first come see what we're eating.
Only when he's *sure* we're finished will he eat his old manny porridge, clearly thinking "I get this rubbish at home!"
There is a small human that lives with Alonso and today was her first day of school. Aw. ๐

We let Alonso out to have a little poo ๐ฉ
He decided we were going to the lac and excitedly ran off in that direction.
Unfortunately not feeling up to that today, so we stood at the top of the rise and watched.
He ran down the hill, and stopped looking back at us, wondering why we weren't coming. ๐
At this point his owner drove up and greeted us. We pointed down the hill "[Alonso] est la". She peered down the hill, at the distant white object, thanked us, and drove down to pick him up ๐

Took Alonso for his walk to the lac.

On the way back Alonso stood under a tree to rest in the shade. As we were about to walk on he came running up in a big arc and... ran smack into my stationary leg. ๐ฅ This was quite a surprise to both of us, but Alonso tried to style it out ๐คฃ

Alonso's coordination and balance aren't great it must be said. Whenever we see him standing on anything high (like the dam wall by the lac) we wonder if he should really be trusted with that much gravity...

Alonso has been thrown out of the kitchen again, and has come upstairs to see if I might intercede on his behalf.

Alonso had another sleepover so he's still here. I think his owners have been very busy.
Last night I cooked egg-fried rice and sichuan pork and let Alonso try a little bit. He likes those very much. I think he would have wolfed down an entire bowl of both if we'd let him, but he'd already eaten. He probably shouldn't be eating spicy food, but he likes to try a little bit of whatever we eat. ๐

We walked him to the lac. There were some people resting with their ponies in the shade. Alonso isn't interested in horses, and stays away from cattle (having apparently been kicked by a cow once according to his owners). He ignored the ponies, sniffed the people and continued with us.

There are a few houses we pass on the way back from the lac. Alonso goes through a little routine with each, and this is generally fine.
The first is a cabin set back from the road in some trees. This has no fence. Alonso sometimes rests in the shade here waiting for us to catch up, or goes for a sniff and then catches up with us.
So we continued on...
