Photos were taken in 1909-1910 - possibly at Syracuse University where my great aunt Edith graduated from.
My favorite photo on the page shows Edith and a friend ready to go ice skating - with their skates hanging over their shoulders! I don't know about anyone else - but I wouldn't want to try ice skating in a long skirt!

@PattyHankins Lovely! The skates remind me of the strap-on rollerskates I had when I was a kid.
I've definitely seen people doing casual ice skating in long skirts and I wouldn't mind trying it myself. You'd just have to avoid sit-positions and catch-foot tricks and such, but as long as you keep your blades under your hems and not the other way around you'd be fine... (Probably helps when you're used to wearing long skirts anyway and have the instinct for how they move and how to kick them out of your way as needed.)

@PattyHankins surely those are short skirts suitable for sports, they easily clear the floor :D
and I agree with @zeborah , they probably would make doing advanced stuff more complicated, but for casually gliding around the ice (which is all I've ever done with ice skates) they don't look that much of a problem, I'd try it too

Oggi potreste leggere notizie come quella rilanciata da Fanpage.it che vedete sotto sulla “Clonazione di email governative con la tecnica di #spoofing”.
Ebbene no, non è successo niente di tutto questa ma è solo una forzatura che tecnicamente nel 2025 non ha valoreNon funziona proprio così e i tecnici lo sanno bene! Il problema in questo caso è solo ed esclusivamente in chi riceve quelle email: le email governative analizzate partono tutte con gli standard di sicurezza al giorno d’oggi riconosciuti e correttamente configurate. Il problema grave è che ci sono in giro provider pagliacciata 🤡, tra le mail dei cittadini, che non applicano tali regole riconosciute a livello internazionale.
Qualsiasi gestore serio di email nel 2025 scarta qualsiasi email inviata con quella tecnica di spoofing, se non lo fa il problema é lui e chi lo usa per avere una email gratis!
