It's not that different from editing a photo and sharing it. That happens a lot. Where is the harm?

There is literally no difference if you edit a photo to add a filter or overlay text/stickers.

This is just a fun way to add some flair to your video, we only have a few filters like sunglasses and dog ears, I don't see the harm in that.

AR =/= AI. We've had AR filters as long as Snapchat has existed and it was always done on-device. Without that goofy dog filter I probably wouldn't be with my partner of seven years. Those were simpler times.

@dansup Well, it's an opinion that I'm expressing here. No more, no less. I may have a different aesthetic sensibility, and I also think that trying to copy addictive platforms is not the right way to go. That's how one thing will lead to another in the future... that's my concern.

Why do you consider them psychological tricks?

(I agree on the stupid, childish and tastless part, but this is so extremely subjective that I myself wouldn't care what I say in this regard. People should be allowed to have fun with some stupid, tasteless and childish fun.)
