    Hello Fediverse -- let's have an and introduce ourselves :3

    We're dotmeow, a queer-run community project to register the gTLD .meow. But not only for meows and giggles! The profits of this gTLD shall go to community causes, turning every domain into queer community support, especially focusing on trans issues.

    While we've already passed the ICANN Application Support Program, we're just now launching our web & social media presence(s). So while there's not much to see here yet, follow us if you're interested in registering a .meow domain and potentially supporting us in the way -- crowdfunding TBA soon.

    Outside of announcements we want to engage with the fediverse as regular fedizens and won't spam you with meaningless ads <3

    I guess it's time to do a reintroduction! Hello, I'm Anubi, also known as AnubiArts, and I do lots of art in different mediums, usually pixel art, may it be open source projects, emoji packs, redraws of silly animals, you name it I have known and been a part of the fediverse for a few years now, may it be Mastodon, it's forks, Wafrn and recently Pixelfed (at @anubiarts), I've been missing the vibe of text only posts and the like from Mastodon and Wafrn tho, so I wanted to move over to my old (now current) wafrn account at waf.moe and uh… Pixelfed sadly lacks account migrations , so unless that can be fixed, I guess we're starting all over again now!! My current favorite is the Monk and Robot series by Becky Chambers.     I don't think I've ever written an #introduction here. Now, I'm doing it elsewhere in the context of my research in the #DigitalHumanies, so, also sharing it here:I'm a technical researcher coming from #edtech, based in #Milan, Italy and with interest in multidisciplinary collaborations. Due to the shoot-in-the-foot nature of Italian politics (https://en.ilsole24ore.com/art/crui-manoeuvre-cuts-mean-country-does-not-need-universities-AGBrKdx), my (not yet tenure-track) 4-year collaboration with #UniMi was suspended until further notice and I'm currently collaborating with the Minors on the Move project (https://prinminorsonthemove.wordpress.com/team, my role is interactive geomapping) on behalf of #UniGe. Previously, I've worked on societal values (https://doi.org/10.46298/jdmdh.13120), Early Modern English (https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3865/#02_paper), history of publishing (https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3558/#paper774, https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3937/#paper14) and Old Church Slavonic (https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3937/#short8, http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3246/#03_paper-6921). Typically, I bring together expertise from usability and information awareness to develop new collaborative approaches to data exploration and technology dissemination.

I hope you enjoy a non-billionaire-curated, no-algorithm, chronological feed of the people you actually follow (and what they boost). If you have questions, feel free to ask people. We're generally pretty nice about helping new folk to adjust to things here. Quick primer: CW your posts about politics, traumatic things, and so on. Use alt-text; many of us will not boost a post that does not have it. Accessibility matters.Use and follow hashtags. And post an #introduction. It helps a lot for others to grant your follow request if you have a profile, a PFP, and an introduction (which you can periodically update as it changes). If you're Black, be aware there are many, many white folk here with good intentions, who have NOT DONE THE WORK. My friend @Impossible_PhD says in these cases, BRAVO:Block; Report; And Vibe On.
