BREVI CONSIDERAZIONI SULLA MORTE DI CHARLIE KIRK
Faccio mie le parole di Ava Raine: “Se vuoi che le persone ti dicano parole gentili quando te ne vai, dovresti dire parole gentili mentre sei in vita”.
E Charlie Kirk, in vita, è stato tutt’altro che gentile: campione di razzismo, omofobia, islamofobia; acceso antiabortista e convinto sostenitore del sionismo e dell’apartheid israeliano. Non scherziamo. La memoria, in questo caso, serve a smascherare, non a ripulire.
La fine che ha fatto riguarda solo il suo mondo: un universo malato di armi e sproloqui nazistoidi. È lo specchio del mondo che ha costruito. Se lo santifichi, sei come lui.
Che sia chiaro: questo non significa che meritasse una pallottola. L’eliminazione fisica, in questo preciso momento storico, è sempre più appannaggio dei poteri. Sono gli Stati a praticarla, apertamente o nell’ombra: basta guardare alla Palestina. Qui la morte è seriale, pianificata, industriale. Non c’è simmetria possibile: la violenza organizzata, sistematica e impunita appartiene ai dominanti. Ricordarlo è fondamentale per non cadere nella trappola della falsa equivalenza.
Non è la “giustizia fai da te”, né il gesto isolato di singoli a segnare l’epoca: è la violenza organizzata degli Stati, degli eserciti, delle polizie, dei servizi segreti. La pallottola che uccide un singolo non è paragonabile all’apparato militare che devasta interi popoli. Una morte individuale non sposta i rapporti di forza: è solo una parentesi.
Ma il punto non è Charlie Kirk. Il punto è la narrazione che si costruisce intorno a una morte così. Il mainstream corre subito a sterilizzare le contraddizioni, addomesticare il dibattito. Mentre la destra fa la destra con le sue farneticazioni. Si riposiziona nella parte “aggredita”, quindi da difendere.
Il rischio vero non è il singolo proiettile, è il racconto che lo segue: che giustifica nuove strette repressive, che alimenta la falsa equivalenza tra chi opprime e chi resiste.La vera battaglia è qui: smontare la retorica, fare luce sugli interessi, svelare la trama che trasforma un fanatico in un martire. Non cadere nella trappola è un dovere politico.

Plug Into USB, Read Hostname and IP Address
Ever wanted to just plug something in and conveniently read the hostname and IP addresses of a headless board like a Raspberry Pi? Chances are, a free USB port is more accessible than digging up a monitor and keyboard, and that’s where [C4KEW4LK]’s rpi_usb_ip_display comes in. Plug it into a free USB port, and a few moments later, read the built-in display. Handy!
The device is an RP2350 board and a 1.47″ Waveshare LCD, with a simple 3D-printed enclosure. It displays hostname, WiFi interface, Ethernet interface, and whatever others it can identify. There isn’t even a button to push; just plug it in and let it run.
Here’s how it works: once plugged in, the board identifies itself as a USB keyboard and a USB serial port. Then it launches a terminal with Ctrl-Alt-T, and from there it types and runs commands to do the following:
Find the serial port that the RP2350 board just created.Get the parsed outputs of hostname, ip -o -4 addr show dev wlan0, ip -o -4 addr show dev eth0, and ip -o -4 addr show to gather up data on active interfaces.Send that information out the serial port to the RP2350 board.Display the information on the LCD.Update periodically.The only catch is that the host system must be able to respond to launching a new terminal with Ctrl-Alt-T, which typically means the host must have someone logged in.
It’s a pretty nifty little tool, and its operation might remind you, in concept, of how BadUSB attacks happen: a piece of hardware, once plugged into a host, identifies itself to the host as something other than what it appears to be. Then it proceeds to input and execute actions. But in this case, it’s not at all malicious, just convenient and awfully cute.
