#Poland tightens cybersecurity rules targeting non #NATO suppliers The government says the law is both a response to the rising number of cyberattacks and the need to implement the EU’s Network and Information Systems Directive 2 (NIS 2) directive, which was meant to be done by October 2024. The main change creates a category of “high-risk” vendors who will be barred from providing goods or services to sectors considered vital to the state. One criterion for such a designation is a supplier’s origin and whether it is controlled by a country outside NATO. https://notesfrompoland.com/2026/02/21/poland-tightens-cybersecurity-rules-targeting-non-nato-suppliers/

@mms Today I opened an Italian Facebook post - it was nothing but anti-EU comments. They all had one thing in common: the accounts were either "newly" created or had only become active starting from a specific moment. They all wrote in a peculiar kind of Italian - not like an LLM, and not even like uneducated people, but like foreigners who had learned the language. I realized they were all bots or the same people, plus a few local idiots.I’m starting to suspect that certain social media companies are benefiting A LOT from this situation. After all, it seems that the enemies of the EU pay well - very well.

#Poland closes #Russia consulate in Gdańsk in response to the railway sabotage “In this regard, while this will not be our full response, I have decided to withdraw my consent for the operation of the last [Russian] consulate in Gdańsk,” Sikorski stated. He also noted that an official note would be sent to the Russian government within the next few hours. https://united24media.com/latest-news/in-response-to-russian-rail-line-sabotage-poland-slashes-russian-consular-presence-fm-confirms-13576 In my opinion, this specific response hints that Russian diplomatic personnel and diplomatic bags - legally protected - might have been used to facilitate the attack. You likely won't find it in English, but if you're seriously into Russian and Soviet relations I very much recommend book "Zdrada Sowietów. Pamiętniki dyplomaty sowieckiego" by G.Z. Biesiedowski published in Polish 1989, but I now see the original was published in Russian: https://archive.org/details/B-001-004-570-ALL Besedovski, a Soviet diplomat in Warsaw who defected to France, described in great detail the sabotage operations the Soviet Russia conducted in 1930's Poland.
