I figured there had to be something like this. A little easy-crimp connector that hooks wires to LED strips without any solder. Also have them for 4 wire strips and even butt splicing one strip to another. Also a version with screws if you're a barbarian. ';^) #electronics

I've found some memory modules in my drawer, and there are also four DDR4 modules. So, now that I have discovered this gold mine, I could buy X and bring it over to the fediverse, or buy M...soft and open the windows to let some air in...#hardware #storage #fediverse #opensource #freesoftware

@OscarCunningham I did, however the solutions I come up with have an incompatibility between the first column and the second row. For the first column you need (a/b)*c = 2 and for the second row you need (b*e) - f = 37, but the latter can only be achieved with a digit between 5 and 9 for b, which would make Oh wait. There's no reaso why a/b should be a positive integer. Damnit.

@TazPoltorak @Bfordham some toy machines cheat by only being able to make a chain stitch instead of the lockstitch used by modern¹ machines: those aren't really sewing machines, they can't be used to follow instructions designed for sewing machines and I'd recommend staying away from them even as a “starting” machine, because they really aren't one.the main issue being that the chain stitch unravels, and using it to make functional garments will require a lot more handsewing and different techniques that those used today.as the first sewing machine ever built, they were time saver when sewing meters and meters of ruffles on a 1850s dress, when you were used to sew 1840s dresses by hand, but really, sewing machine technology has moved on :)¹ i.e. since the second half of the 19th century :D
