I'm feeling actually, a sort of horror. There's a microcosm here, which kinds of sex stuff our culture treats as harmful vs overlooks.

Someone of an age to be an Epstein victim would not be old enough, at that time, to be allowed to read the government's documents about what was done to them

there's a particularly horrific adjunct to this that I've been sitting with for a while,

that such victims are effectively systemically disenfranchised from being able to even -find out- the depth of how they were wronged until potentially years later,

because any discussion of sexuality or consent is - especially by those victimizers - gated as an "adult" matter and deliberately kept away from those of the age they choose to victimize.

@xgranade @mcc If you are feeling sensitive to stuff like this, it's probably a good time to set up some filters for 'epstein'. I have only been catching this peripherally and it is bleaker than I could imagine and I have a VERY good imagination
