So let me get this straight... I'm somewhere that's not what I would call corporate social media. I'm seeing freaking dragons, and, oh yeah, I'm writing descriptive alt text!! Yeah, okay, that is something I do now! I post about my indiewebsite, I report jacked up spam accounts... I'll probably get 14 boosts on this post next.

@WanderFool for sure. With me it started with the introduction of screentime when she was 3 1/2. Always supervised, on demand tv only, not the hellscape of YouTube & its algorithms.
I always explain the WHY (regarding the reasons I don't like certain tech/toys). Yesterday in line at the supermarket I gave her a little lecture about aisle design and the placement of candy by the cash registers to tempt people with impulsive last min purchases.

Mi sono appena resa conto che magari anche qui qualcuno è interessato.
Qualche anno fa ho fatto dei test di resistenza per inchiostri da (principalmente) #stilografica , scrivendo dei campioni e attaccandoli ad una finestra rivolta a sud-sud-est

I'm pretty fired up exposing the ridiculousness of #WSocial, a new social network purported to be a European alternative to X that launched at Davos (yikes).
The French press devoted many articles to it (meanwhile: crickets about the Fediverse).
Before I go full steam ahead grabbing domain names and creating a web site that shows the weaknesses of W / suggests to check out the Fediverse instead, I want to put it to you: should I do it?

I've just realized that maybe somebody is interested here too
A few years ago I made some light resistance tests for (mostly) #fountainPen inks, by writing samples and taping them to a south-south-east facing window

forum.fountainpen.it/download/…now I have a south facing covered balcony, and I'm getting ready to start a new test between the equinox and the solstice; at the beginning of February I'm going to buy stuff from a shop that also sells ink samplers, and my budget for buying those is almost gone, but if somebody has requests I can add a couple more to the cart
Some have already been requested at forum.fountainpen.it/viewtopic… (in Italian, but the ink names are ink names :) )
