@Steve @afreytes In Colombia, theres a very famous poet, Rafael Pombo. He mostly did literary work for children. Most curious are his translations of "Simple Simon" known as "Simon el bobito".The translations are so intricate and elaborated that basically are new poems themselves. Which did cause the discussion with translators over time if was this the correct way to do it, since Simple Simon's poems are, well, simple.Its an interesting conundrum when trying to translate anything.

Note to self: Having a mental illness does not mean you can act like an asshole without consequence.Apologizing is just the first of many steps you may need to take. If you cannot take that first step, you cannot complain when others are forced to step in for you.

@ohmu I think, I don't recall having an issue with what they had to change because of licensing, and I had no issue with some of the pop-culture additions.It was more of, the spirit of the characters in the book don't match or aren't as important as the spirit of the same characters in the movie.The movie may tell the same story, but somehow it does not have the same weight that it had on the page.And it could be just as you say, the nostalgia hits different.

@BoydStephenSmithJr @afreytes it's been some time since I last needed to share data, and in my days NTFS was “workable, but don't depend on it too much”, and vfat had the 4GB file limit. And of course forget about keeping the Unix permissions on either.
