Grapes = Wine.
Potato = Vodka.
Wheat = Beer.
Apricot stones = Amaretto.
etc etc.But are there things which *can't* be turned into alcohol?
I've never seen tomato wine. Or onion schnapps.

Just had to turn down a speaking opportunity in Japan because the flights are just too expensive.
Not a problem for well-funded companies. But almost impossible for small businesses.
Sadly, their travel bursary couldn't cover it. Understandable, but a bit dispiriting.
