I blocked the `threads.net` server as an admin of this server because I recently quit Meta. This is also to free myself from Meta's influence. Additionally, there are many media reports about Meta's misuse of minors' pictures as part of their targeted advertising campaigns. flaky@furry.engineer I agree, but I don't think it's a conscious choice to favor decentralization over design/UI. I think what the most likely explanation is, is that those interested in building activitypub applications are highly technical and find the decentralization aspect more alluring than designing good UI. I know I personally am quite terrible at design.
