@jannis Hi Jannis! I was trying to post a reply on your latest Ghost blog but I got an error message two times in a row. So a quick heads-up about it.
Anyway, what I wanted to say:
"Thank you for all your hard work on this Jannis!
When I was self-hosting my blog via Ghost-CLI I had magic link spam attacks a couple of times... my Mailgun account was flagged and I couldn't have new signups (once when my Fediverse video was going viral, so I likely lost a lot of potential subscribers).
Part of the reasons why I'm on Magic Pages now is that I get to offset my worry and preoccupation. But I'm sorry you have to deal with this. You got this! And thanks for all you do"

Mondays mean: manually backing up my #YunoHost system.

I'm always surprised by the sheer size of backups - this time 15GB (ugh!) broken down as follows (from biggest to smallest):
#GoToSocial: 6.2 GB
#PeerTube: 4.3 GB
#NextCloud: 3.0 GB
#Pixelfed: 1.5 GB
#LinkStack: 91 MBI'm brainstorming ways to make my GoToSocial backup size go down... I have cache set to 1 day only, so I'm trying unfollowing a few accounts (that I already follow from my Mastodon profile) to see if that makes a difference.

After a 5½ hour drive to Tarbet the Gods were on my side for once. I came down with a whole scallop vessel monitoring system. Which comprises of 1 x PC with POE switch two IP cameras for watching the dredges port and starboard and a GPS antenna along with GSM antenna.oh and a drum of cat5 too. You know what was wrong as I had visions of having to replace everything? It was just a BIOS battery ! I couldn't believe my luck. Now everything is working so the Scottish government can monitor them remotely once again and I'm away to do that 5½ drive back home.

Ricordo per esempio l'entusiasmo (senza senso, a posteriori) con cui certe persone si misero a lavorare alla fan translation di HG/SS (sia in inglese che in italiano) pur avendo la certezza matematica che sarebbero usciti pochi mesi dopo anche da noi (e nel frattempo c'erano giochi che non sarebbero mai stati tradotti ufficialmente che venivano del tutto snobbati! ahah)
