Now listening to a talk by @nicolasvivant of the City of Échirolles. Apparently this small city close to Lyon is one of the most advanced when it comes to using #opensource software. 🤯
They've migrated to Linux (ZorinOS?), use LibreOffice, Nextcloud etc. #osclux

I did get a chance to listen to the excellent Omar Moshine, the Open Source Coordinator at the UN. 🔥 The UN strives to use open source solutions by default and does a lot of gov advocacy.

The EDIC is a collective of EU member states that work together on Digital Commons, like the #opensource workspace alternatives (MijnBureau, Opendesk, LaSuite) that we're all building. #osclux

@Gina EDIC seems to be a specific _kind_ of construction rather than a whole organisations, is that accurate?
Also, it seems to me like they have very little to do with open source stuff, and the three existing ones are focused on a) LLMs b) 'Digital Twins' and c) Crypto.
To be clear, it might be that I've misunderstood things, but that to me doesn't sound like something I'd want to advocate for joining, necessarily.

@pettter It started out as a network and just got established as an organisation. There's EDICs on all sorts of topics. This one is specifically for Open Source Digital Commons (such as workspace software, code platforms etc), any open source solutions that we can collaborate on at a European level.

Ok last one and then I'll stop spamming yall. There was a talk by Matthias Kuom from Cisero, which facilitates the adoption of IPCEI-CIS. This is an EU initiative to build a decentralized, federated and integrated EU cloud environment which would be really cool. 🔥🔥 #osclux

@regendans oh that's an interesting one, quite comparable with my current one, better in some other. From the specs it would seem that the lack of a 3.5mm jack would be the only big annoyance.

Dato che mi ritrovo gli sportelli della macchina smontati per sistemare delle infiltrazioni d'acqua quando piove forte, mi consigliate di insonorizzarli? Avevo adocchiato questo che nei negozi non riesco a trovare
