@lepaggoth @afewbugs Given the pride the French have in their cuisine, I suspect a suggestion like this could cause an international incident!
I'm going to guess the famously influential French agriculture lobby do have something to do with this, however.
@GlasWolf @afewbugs ...well, they should have given a thought to pride many people have in their native languages, before coming to tell how they want this and that word from other languages banned because the french don't understand them. Would serve them right if french agriculture lobby resulted only making things harder for french cuisine folks, just because their suggestion was so inherently stupid.

@capnthommo @afewbugs I say ‘confused’ because that’s the explicit reasoning given by the court, not because I necessarily believe that anyone is genuinely confused.
(It was a trademark case, so presumably the concern is whether someone might accidentally pick up Oatly thinking it came from a cow. 🤷)

@afewbugs there is already a relaxation around chocolate because most of the chocolate bars sold in the UK should be called sugar bars with chocolate flavour because the majority ingredient is sugar.
When the UK joined the EU, they relaxed the regulations to allow UK chocolate bars to continue to be sold under that name -

When the UK joined the EU, they relaxed the regulations to allow UK chocolate bars to continue to be sold under that name@peterbrown @afewbugs seemingly some of these products now have so little chocolate in them they they can't be called chocolate any more. Needless to say the threshold for 'milk chocolate' in the UK is already ridiculously low.
At least they haven't (yet) resorted to adding vomit flavour to them like American Hershey bars.

@zelu @peterkotrcka Yes, accurate. Having a coffee at the bar isn't (always) a "let's relax" thing but more a "I need a good coffee".
Some bars allow to have the coffee at the counter and consume it sitting, without paying more. So it depends.

@peterkotrcka@bsd.cafe I think many people in the morning going to work grab a quick coffee and leave the place, that's why the don't need to sit. This what I've been told when I was in Italy some time ago. Is this accurate @stefano@bsd.cafe ?
