Has anyone got any experience or info on how to open up a Suunto 9 sports watch? My usual resources are drawing a blank, someone on here may be able to help!

@twoowls73 I would guess there is a special bezel screw. You see those indents around the edge? I doubt those are ornamental. They call this a "castle nut" I believe. you'd need to get someone to 3d print something that fits or get a factory repair tool.

Remember, just a guess. I can't see the backside.

@twoowls73 upon further research, they do sell castle nut spanner sets on amazon, however I was thinking more of a cylindrical tool in my mind when I was envisioning 3d printing something... these might work.

@philbarker @iFixit I have, and as far as I can tell this is a brand that seems to be almost exclusively repaired by the manufacturer. Although someone, somewhere will have done it before me…

@Netraven I’ve considered designing and printing my own castellated tool, but want to check and see if there is anyone with relevant experience before I dive in.

@twoowls73 I think you should be able to find a decent spanner at a local hardware store, then just keep your finger on the tip and rotate counter clockwise gently.
