@winterschon Indeed, a great machine for sure! That would fix quite some of the problems we face. I see all these cheap laptops at work which are obsolete when they leave the factory (We don't recommend these... but customers want cheap stuff always - sadly)Gemini would be a great alternative! The e-waste debacle is sadly too real.Maybe someday we will all own modular/hackable devices that don't get obsoleted when sold.Well, we can dream at least ๐Ÿ™‚

@vermaden @omar I agree. I'd use FreeBSD (or any other BSD) in my laptop if possible. For the next device, I'll carefully check the compatibility. For now, I'm ok with using Linux on my minipc and MacOS on my laptop. I have hundreds of *BSD powered servers so I don't miss the opportunities to use them

I wrote a short note on how to switch audio output in FreeBSD on the fly. For example, when you watch a video on Youtube or something and want to switch from rear audio to headphones or vice versa.Nothing groundbreaking, just retelling a documentation. But if you needed a short solution to this problem, here it is.https://iyer.ru/2025/09/29/how-to-switch-audio-output-in-freebsd-on-the-fly/#FreeBSD
