@stefano Running Leap 16 in VirtualBox 7.1 on my Debian laptop. Leap 16 has some problems.First, it only successfully boots every *other* time it powers on. The other times, after the boot loader, it shuts down automatically with no warning.Secondly, there are strange network issues though this may be a Virtual Box thing. I just tried installing Debian 13 and the network config during the installer is continuously failing at DHCP. I'm on public wifi at a hospital, but that shouldn't matter because the laptop itself and my phone connect to the wifi no problems. I suspect I have some troubleshooting to do there....but only being able to successfully power up every other time? Yeah, that is strange.

@aeva I considered reshade but thought it would be a pain to set upWayland absolutely makes this kind of thing harder than it was under X11. I have found some limited color control via wlr_gamma_control_unstable_v1 (this seems to be how things like redshift are meant to work on Wayland) but I have no idea what the support picture looks likeIf somebody doesn't come along with my dream fix I'll probably write a utility that uses it and find out for myself

I find that often the reason more-flexible OSes get a rep for fragility is they tend to be used by people like me: people who want to make their computer optimized in some way. We tend to then configure to the limits of our knowledge and introduce delightful little edge cases. Less flexibility in an OS stops us from doing that, but then we’re unhappy for a different reason
