How much am I looking forward to #FOSDEM2026? Well, I just booked my hotel for it... some 4 months in advance 😆
Last year I was a little insecure about attending as a self-hosting newbie. So much has happened in the meantime! I am still very much clueless about a lot of things (correction: most things) but I feel like I earned my badge... especially after all the efforts to self-host Ghost.
I can't wait!!!

You had earned your badge since day 1 of your adventures.
Prepare for an incredible density of people. ffp2 is mandatory imho.

Main reason I won't go anymore (too crowded for the size of the venue)@taziden oooh I attended WebSummit in 2019 and was in shock by the sheer number of people there. A little anxiety inducing. I found FOSDEM super chill in comparison 😅

Update: I have discovered YouTube has turned these implied-LLM-use settings on for every video I've ever uploaded dating back to 2008. They're in the video edit details, hidden behind a "Show more" button. I guess I now have to go through and turn these checkboxes off for 90 separate videos.
This is extremely problematic for my RSI. It seems to be impossible to convince a big tech company that "click 450 times" is a thing I cannot do.
