Teen Vogue has now been folded into Vogue, and all politics reporters, all Black women and all trans people working there were fired on Monday (11/3/25) morning.
That is, none of the people who made Teen Vogue a surprisingly effective civics communication vehicle remain with the magazine.
If you or someone in your family has a subscription, now it's a good time to explain what boycotts are and what they can do.
Note how "facts" becomes "progressive politics"

Since I don’t follow the magazine, I’d be very curious about its circulation, which I might expect is higher than the parent publication.
Because if that’s true, then the executive staff of Vogue can be sued by publication shareholders, if it’s publicly held, for fiduciary negligence.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @herhandsmyhands we need to know the names of the writers who made Teen Vogue, "Comrade Teen Vogue" so we can like support em follow their work/careers. They have been some of the more impactful and honest writers in the last 20 years of colonial mass media.
Idfk anyone reading vogue but that they had to yeet the entire franchise shows how without those writers there was no Teen Vogue.

@srtcd424 @float13 @mdione indeed, in both safety and ability to scale down photovoltaics are much better than wind turbines
(which is why wind turbines are mostly a power plant level thing, while photovoltaic on the home is often a better choice even in places with more wind than sun)
(also, this is definitely a case of whyNotBoth, each in its own suitable environment)

@mdione @srtcd424 @Mr_GHARice @float13 the smart bit inside the inverter box decides how much energy should be taken by the panels, batteries or grid, and how much energy should go to the house, batteries, or grid
the panels are ok with only providing less energy than they could produce, with no ill effects, because electovoltaics are *magic*; (I assume that there is a bit more heat going around, but still less than what would have been released by the sun hitting a dark-ish roof, so easily dissipated)
