As US-based #weather models (especially the UFS from NOAA) are becoming less accurate with cuts to funding for scientific research, I’ve added @stefano’s helpful, localized #FediMeteo to my #Mastodon feed. Over the past year I’ve found its Euro-modeled forecasts to be more reliable.

@zleap @aleciabatson Hello Paul! I'll have a look at it tomorrow morning. If it's a small town, it could not be present on Open-Meteo. In case, is there another place we could use as a reference, but close enough?

For the programming environment, there is a heck of a lot in there to unpack. If you wanted to look at it, Goblins' Guile implementation contains a pre-goblins directory which sort of walks through the steps for building up a bare minimum version of Goblins' concepts, though the working version today has much more than that.

And yes I've given plenty of critiques (including not always agreeing with those engineering decisions). But nonetheless I don't think giving the engineering team space to do what they thought was right has always been the easy thing to do, and I thought it was worth saying the positive thing here.
