Was planning a long ride today until waking up to a day of rain. Well, I should try to ride a variety of conditions, so off I went with a bit warmer clothing. What I didn't account for was so much wet gravel. Didn't see any other bikers, just a couple walkers, and four runners. #NHwx #BikeTooter #mushtodon

@rasterweb They're paper oblong spheres that come pretty cheap, and you hang them in the hopes that wasps think another colony has already set up in the area. They seem to have done well at stopping nests in those immediate areas, but a couple of metres away they're still happy to move in, it seems.

@jerzone Ice cream! My family did bike rides involving a distant farm ice cream stand, when I was a boy. I have fond memories of it, and whenever I took my kids, and later my student-athletes on 'adventure rides,' I always made sure yummy food acted as Part B of the epoxy.Another thing we would do is stop at creeks, pick mint and put it in our water bottles.

Went for a nice Saturday ride with wife, about 20 miles. She on an ebike and me on the old Peugeot. I'd still like it with a little lower gear range but perhaps it's making me stronger? Bike felt really good today (someone can chip in with "steel is real!"). ';^) No idea if they've always been there, but on a nondescript section of ditch I've ridden by dozens of times I noticed a half dozen tiny fairies today.#BikeTooter #BloomScrolling #butterflies #Fairies

@jerzone I had to wrap my old bike bars and watched many videos, and it feels like an art to do right, and I just don't do it enough to get the feel for it. I wrap a bar every few years how am I ever to get good at it?
