I'm not sure of all the technical details, but it sometimes takes a bit for all the protocol stuff to happen. There's nothing you can do to hurry it along, as far as I know; just check back later. I usually see the quote show up within a couple minutes.

@anolandria I can confirm, I'm blocked from pixelfed.social by Cloudflare when using the Tor Browser.This is a well known problem with Cloudflare. https://blog.torproject.org/trouble-cloudflare/ They consider Tor users hostile, categorically.@dansup, by using Cloudflare you are turning away some of the very people most in need of an open Fediverse.

Convert flv (Flash Video files) to MP4?Edit: I fear my hopes are dashed at least for the present..I created the videos on Proshow Producer back in the day and somehow got them into slideshow pro where they used a flash player. Hello all We're planning to start a Peertube channel, to replace our Vimeo account, moving our videos across to the Fediverse. There are many photo music slideshows from performances (with music supplied by the musicians) and also hopefully a few cycling videos. It will feature videos by both @StevenKennard and myself (the music photography being his work).I'm a bit confused about how to go about naming an account and then channels. I want to be sure before starting as they can't be changed once you set them up. The plastic bag is be removed at the disposal facility which will be incinerated.Food waste, after the plastic bag removal will be put in an anerobic digestor with the aim to syphon off the gases for "energy use" which I'm pretty sure means burning them. Our current system is the food waste goes in our green bin and goes to a large composting facility.I'm pretty sure of my assertion that providing single use plastic bags that will be burnt will increase rather than reduce their carbon footprint.My question I can't find the answer is the following:Is it more carbon friendly to hot compost food waste or to use an anerobic digester which harvests the gases to be burnt as fuel.Does anyone have a detailed, nuanced, comparison of the carbon footprint of composting foodwaste as opposed to an anerobic digestor.Deadline to question is 20hrs (sorry for short timeframe got the original date wrong). How to transport #MIDI over #network the easy way? #fedihelp So, my client just called me, and it turns out… I need to have his MIDI signal from stage at my #FOH, which is around 40m of cable.I got a CAT cable running with TCP/IP infrastructure anyways.I know that #RTPMIDI exists, but I never have used it.So I need something that takes #USBMIDI and makes it available 40 meters somewhere else. Or I need to send USB over 40 meters, doesn't really matter.I think the endpoint for the MIDI transmission will be VCV Rack on Linux.Must happen the day after tomorrow, so buying something is not a solution.I have available: 1 Ubuntu Studio 24.4 laptop. 1 Windows 10 laptop. 1 MacBook Pro 2017. Several iPads, something Bluetooth-MIDI working with one of the iPads. I used to have #midimonster but it cannot be installed on Ubuntu any more due to dependency shit.EDIT: See my own answer in 🧵 for a solution.
