Aside: A couple miles behind this old (and now demolished) building is the inaccessible ghost town of Drawbridge, CA, which has partly sunken into the Bay. Unfortunately, the only safe way to see Drawbridge currently is from the window of a train passing on the adjacent rail line. Alviso, where this photo was captured, appears to be on much more solid ground, where buildings disappear because of rising real estate values rather than lowering ground levels.
