#AdventOfCode #Day5 with #rust
today I got to use the <_> thing for the first time. I wonder what its name is. Cylone face? Crab operator? Anyway, nice.
Also, deeply confused that both of these work
if current.end() >= other_ref.start()
vs
if *current.end() >= *other_ref.start()
I think this is another case or references being more than "just" pointers.

@riffraff Interesting, i took a peek at the docs. Primitive types implement PartialEq also between references. Just to make things easier, I think, without having to sprinkle the code with *.
E.g. for i32 https://doc.rust-lang.org/stable/std/primitive.i32.html#impl-PartialEq-for-i32 and if you look at the source you'll find this beauty
fn eq(&self, other: &Self) -> bool { *self == *other }
Since the standard library doesn't mention PartialEq between values of primitive types that must be implemented directly in the compiler. Which is pretty cool.

*L'universo è fatto di storie, non di atomi. E' quello che diceva la poetessa ed attivista *Muriel Rukeyser e siamo totalmente d'accordo con lei. Noi del Gruppo Storie **dell'Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica ci crediamo profondamente e sperimentiamo nuovi modi in cui le storie possono arrivare a raccontarci il cosmo, superando il semplice dato tecnico e facendoci sfiorare quella parte "sacra" di emozione e coinvolgimento, che poi ci aiuta a non dimenticare. E continuare a raccontare.
Un gruppo di persone meravigliose (e io che ci faccio tra loro? Vabbè mi conviene e rimango!) che si è riunito mercoledì e giovedì a Bologna e poi a Medicina, per confrontarsi, imparare l'uno dall'altro, capire come proseguire insieme, fare e rinforzare le amicizie e le collaborazioni.
Nella giornata a Medicina abbiamo esplorato il Centro Visite Marcello Ceccarelli sotto la guida esperta ed amichevole di Simona Righini, poi abbiamo fatto un tour alla parte suggestiva dei radiotelescopi.
Ora rientrati alle rispettive sedi, sappiamo che il compito è quello di sempre, semplice ed affascinante, *raccontare il cosmo. *Trovarci insieme su questo è stato molto bello ed istruttivo, per cui speriamo di farlo sempre meglio.

Ci sono tre tipi di sanità:
la sanità pubblica efficiente per tutti, pagata da tutti a beneficio di tutti.
la sanità privata efficiente per chi paga o chi ha una buona assicurazione, pagata da alcuni a beneficio di alcuni.
la sanità feudale italiana, inefficiente nel pubblico E nel privato, pagata da stato E cittadini, che fornisce servizi inesistenti nel settore pubblico E fatiscenti nel settore privato, pagata da tutti a beneficio di alcuni.
Un tempo avevamo la sanità del primo tipo.

Lo avevamo preannunciato che fino ad aprile 2026 non saremmo stati tranquilli e continuano. I muli da tastiera si svegliassero che qua si rischia grosso ed una volta fatta la torta non è possibile disfarla!!!e massacriamoli a colpi di mail facendo sudare i loro server ed intasando le loro mail.... non devono piu essere in grado di utilizzare le loro mail visto che lo stipendio lo paghiamo noi

Yes we have that approach too at home but there is vulgar language… and extremely rude vulgar language (like - your mom) which I’m not really fond of explaining my child yet because (a) she’s only 4 (b) she weaponizes things that create strong reactions in us.. so… a couple of years down the line maybe 😅

@zooropa Ah figurati, nello stesso periodo io e mio fratello smanettavamo con il #texas99 per lo stesso motivo (e intanto invidiavamo quelli con il #commodore64 che erano molti di più e si potevano scambiare molti più giochi!
