In order to respect rate limits and stay on the conservative side, a cron job runs once every 24 hours and updates a postgres database. Vercel pulls in data and rebuilds, so most of what you see is static. I could have made it prettier by getting profile pictures but those required regularly pinging instances and I didn't go that way. It's built for personal use but I was like why not share it as well, I'm sure there are similar tools out there. Good luck in the job hunt folks!

@imil so yes, it probably is because of that. The average load dropped from 100% to more or less 10%.

Conclusion: Companies like this basically are responsibly for screwing up our internet beyond repair. Mark Z has been at the absolute firefront of that.Having established that, though.. People still using his stuff today can no longer say they don't know. So they are aiding and abetting.
