Hello Fedi friends!
I'm back in Paris after France's 2 week-long school holidays (thank you to the two sets of grandparents for looking after my little one).
I was SO EXCITED to do backups on my Mac Mini this morning and do the Spanish sound mix for my Fedi promo video (thanks to @irenerd 's wonderful work) but I'm locked out of my system.
I forgot my wired Apple keyboard in Italy and my wireless one had never been paired to this Mac Mini.
All this to say LINUX is the best because I was able to connect my Raspi to the wireless keyboard thanks to the login screen accessibility button and the ability to turn on a virtual keyboard. Aw Mac OS you could learn so much from Linux, honestly 😏
I just ordered a wired keyboard that should arrive tomorrow afternoon... so no video editing work for a bit, but at least I have a laptop AND a Raspi with Ubuntu to do other stuff...
This week I'm setting up my music library in #Jellyfin YAY.

@elena Out of curiosity (and because we had to solve this problem ourselves recently with a brand new Mac Mini), does your wireless Apple keyboard have a charging port on it? On my partner's wireless keyboard, which is "vintage" 2019, she found that plugging the keyboard in to charge from the Mini also links it to the Mini without bluetooth pairing.
But, I suspect you've already tried this ...

@elena backups and editing are important, if you want I have a wired QWERTY keyboard laying around ^^

@steve thanks! yes I tried this but my wireless keyboard is from Logitech (and not Apple) so plugging it in doesn't do anything. (The trick works for Apple's Magic Mouse, though, thank goodness) 😅

Diario “La Gomera”, giorno 5: relax a Valle Gran Rey
Quando si è in vacanza bisogna anche rilassarsi. Ogni tanto. In via eccezionale, per quanto mi riguarda. Non ne vado fiero, ma capita. Ieri è capitato a Valle Gran Rey, un posto molto bello dal mio punto di vista che definirei uno dei più caratteristici dell'arcipelago.Si tratta di un grande canyon con sbocco sul mare. Nel tempo l'umanità me ha colonizzato i pendii creando case, portando la vita

Quando si è in vacanza bisogna anche rilassarsi. Ogni tanto.
In via eccezionale, per quanto mi riguarda.
Non ne vado fiero, ma capita.
Ieri è capitato a Valle Gran Rey, un posto molto bello dal mio punto di vista che definirei uno dei più caratteristici dell’arcipelago.
Si tratta di un grande canyon con sbocco sul mare.
Nel tempo l’umanità me ha colonizzato i pendii creando case, portando la vita nei terrazzamenti infiniti, favorendo la nascita delle palme con cui produrre il noto “Miele di palma”.
Piccolo raggruppamenti di case colorate, palme e terrazze si susseguono per tutta la valle, e per una volta tanto posso dire che il paesaggio, altrimenti morto, è stato valorizzato da una antropizzazione abbastanza spinta.
Arrivati al mare, poco dopo Valle Gran Rey, si può avere accesso ad alcune delle spiagge più belle dell’isola, anche perché sono tra le pochissime spiagge di sabbia, spiagge vere e proprie per come le intendiamo in Italia. Però, sono di sabbia nera.
Io le adoro, ma non a tutti possono piacere.
Playa del Inglés, molto frequentata dai nudisti (sì, li ho tolti col Photoshop)

Playa de VueltasA Playa de Vueltas, qualche anno fa, diverse persone hanno perso la vita in una frana poderosa che ha portato in mare in un attimo una certa quantità di roccia, staccatasi dalle pareti verticali a picco sul porticciolo.
Bisogna ricordare che La Gomera ha un territorio molto instabile, a causa del fatto che è molto antico e la verticalità è tanta.
Gli agenti atmosferici e la gravità non perdonano.
È stato bello passare una giornata qui, con la vista sulla lontana isola di El Hierro, a divertirmi tra le onde di un paio di metri (o più).
Al rientro in Italia rimpiangerò i 33 gradi del 2 di novembre qui, sebbene i locali dicano che si tratta di un caldo anomalo.
Causato dalle scie chimiche, neanche a dirlo.
Cerco di pensare al domani.

mi stupisce che l'articolo non lo nomini, ma secondo me dietro a questa proposta c'è il fatto che moltissimi nuovi barbieri/parrucchieri sono attività aperte da "non italiani" (tra virgolette perché molta è di sicuro apparenza, visto che ci saranno anche tanti cittadini italiani di origine straniera). le basi della Lega sono sempre super-razziste.
