Found that #NVIDIA released new #Beta Branch of their #drivers 595.45.04.For #FreeBSD: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/265311/#Linux counterparts: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/265309/Note that this won't appear in #FreeBSD #ports, as it's "Beta"."-devel" variants in ports are for whichever the newer of "New Feature Branch (NFB)" or "Production Branch (PB)" of drivers.Investigating for future NFB or PB upgrades, FreeBSD native driver ports should work by overriding version as usual. But Linux counterparts (installed by overriding version of x11/linux-nvidia-libs{-devel}) need some fixes.Beware! This version does NOT work on pre-Turing generations of GPUs, just as 590 series.

Found #nvidia released new Production Branch of their #GPU #drivers 580.126.18.For #FreeBSD: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/264091/For Linux: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/264090/Filed PR for FreeBSD #ports as Bug 293260 and opened corresponding review D55350 for this. https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=293260 https://reviews.freebsd.org/D55350Reading Release Highlights, it seems to be Linux specific build fix and maybe FreeBSD version is just bumped to keep sync with Linux version.

PG&E outage for all of Sunnyvale, UPS resources kept the home office and homelab online most of the hours. In the interim via LTE, decided to resume efforts on spec'ing the latest network refresh.Big decisions; mostly around scale model design principles, some blandness re: OFED drivers and SPDK version parity for specific NIC/DPU SKUs, and analysis paralysis when focusing on critical nerdatorium protocol support.Otherwise to say... I'm leaning towards additional Bluefield DPUs, where offload options are more important than bandwidth parity for production port speeds (also lower total port count using 4x25 breakouts), and there's no sense in paying more per unit for a CX6 25G vs BF2 25G... so... yep.#networking #homelab #mellanox #nvidia #dpu #zfs #distributedsystems #ai #hpc
