I've been building an RSS reader for the past year. No unread counts, no inbox to clear. Just a river that flows at its own pace.
Today it's live on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. I wrote about everything that went into it.
@tg this looks gorgeous and if I could say one thing it’s get a button to the app higher up on the page because within 2 seconds it’s shutupandtakemymoney.gif

@tg Looks very good, I like it. And out-of-the-box Miniflux support ❤️ I recognized that swiping left in the settings to go back to the feed seems to make the view stuttering weirdly.

@jxrxme i'd have to make it free with an in app purchase and that has /always/ felt like a bait and switch to me. I'll look into other possibilities ...
@tg If it’s only me don’t bother. But maybe others think/feel the same. And you’re right free + IAP sometimes has fishy vibes.

@tg can I feed it my OPML files from rss2email? I have lots of feeds and this is the answer to freeing my inbox :)

@tg FYI the app website (current.tg) linked from the Mac app doesnt seem to exist.
Also the Mac app doesn’t seem to respect the “show oldest articles first” setting.
Are you planning to add a web view by default? The app is very nice looking and I appreciate very much how you’ve thought about it, but there are pages that have to be the web page (and I have to be logged in) to read them.
Looks like a great start.

@tg When items fade from view, are they marked as read on the RSS service (I use Feedbin)? I’m just wondering whether something that’s disappeared because its time expired would still show in another app or not.

@tg Your homepage (https://www.terrygodier.com) doesn't link to Current on the App Store? Only at the end of a very long article (https://www.terrygodier.com/current).
Also, when I’m reading the article, I can’t go back to the homepage? There’s no navigation at all.

I made it!!It was not even the save pod.
In the end I've smashed the corvette a bunch of times against some asteroids, then a few freighters came, I've shot at one and let the sentinels shoot me down.
I died, earned 1 point as pirate, but in the end I woke up back on the space station, outside that frigging corvette!!

Pity: in the new game I've started I've found two paradise planets in two systems, as soon as I've started. 😅
