Note to future self:
When installing #HardenedBSD / #FreeBSD on a Dell R6515 (or comparable machine) it isn't enough to put the disks in non-RAID, the controller (H330 in this case) needs to be put into HBA mode as well.
Also: disable x2APIC because it is a complete clusterfuck.
