@eowyn I had problems with weaving a long time. Until I got a speedweave clone. After a few mends I'd understood the concept and ditched the metal thingie. But I still use the wooden base with the rubber. A small embroidery hoop probably would work as well. The most important thing is to really fix your field of repair: it has to be rectangular, straight and at even tension. For socks at about the tension the fabric has when it's worn. And then just work until the hole is covered.

@scottcarlson That was just the big one I remembered off the top of my head. There are multiple reasons 'bare' recipes aren't protected in the US though: Copyright can't be used to protect ideas, only the expression of them. If an idea is so intertwined with the expression that it's impossible to separate them, then that can't be protected either.I'm simply stating the documented position of the US copyright office and courts on this one, not trying to argue technicalities:Courts have found that recipes are wholly factual and functional, and therefore uncopyrightable. As the Sixth Circuit described in Tomaydo-Tomahdo, LLC v. Vozary, “the list of ingredients is merely a factual statement, and as previously discussed, facts are not copyrightable. Furthermore, a recipe’s instructions, as functional directions, are statutorily excluded from copyright protection.”Tomaydo-Tomahdo, LLC v. Vozary

We had a "good emergency" tonight at our original free fridge!Someone dropped off *too much* food and it didn't fit into the pantry and refrigerator. There was also a lot of boxes left over!So a call went out to discord and five people showed up to sort and put away what could fit, clean up the boxes, AND take the extra food to the new free fridge as well as a local "little free pantry" that a local girl scout troop set up! Oh, fun thing! While we were putting away the original food drop off, two other folks came and dropped off their own supplies. We pointed them to the other fridges/pantries for the future and took what they dropped off as well to spread around. Also, while we were there multiple families and folks came by and utilized a lot of the food! But there was still so much left over even after folks took their fill. #solarPunk #freeFridge #mutualAid #foodSecurity
