Did we read the same article? She hated guns and he knew it. She had argued with him about whether or not it would hypothetically be okay for Trump to sexually assault her (he was fine with it).

His excuse was that he had revealed to her for the the first time that he had a gun and was showing it to her, whereas witnesses say she frequently became upset when he mentioned his gun in the past.

It was a pre-meditated execution using alcoholism as an excuse.
