Updated my fork to 9.1.2073 before the release of it, specifically, the last commit before the AI commit.
The first commit by me to the EVi editor, a fork of VIm before the AI slop.

Cuz I shure as hell would consider adding that (and maybe an #nvChad-like config) to @OS1337 's package wishlist.

@mrmasterkeyboard as far as i understood the situation, vim maintainer started using AI, because they couldn't handle the amount of work required meanwhile also having a life. so uhm, do what you want, but wouldn*t it be better if more people commited to vim, so that the maintainer would be less stressed? -

1. If they can't handle maintaining something like VIm and also have a life, why wouldn't they pass maintainership to someone else?
2. I don't exactly think this looks like not being able handle work and being stressed:

Please also note, I'm not also just calling out the lead maintainer, but the other contributors/maintainers/collaborators/whatever they are called for also using AI in a lazy slop way. We don't appreciate dishonesty.

I need to get on making an IDS ruleset for those, but that's far down on my priority list…

@mrmasterkeyboard Just a (stupid) question: I think vim is pretty much there. Has been for a decade or so, I wrote lots of code and research papers using it.
Are there really important features missing?That said (written): good catch, good initiative.

@katttivizzima se un LLM mi mette una fonte che non esiste continuerò a rivelarlo come tale. Se mi cita una fonte che dice tutt'altro, butto via comunque il testo. (Purtroppo anche molta gente fa finta di citare una fonte ma dice tutt'altro...)

@informapirata però si spera che gli autori umani non divaghino troppo, o almeno ritornino a bomba al tema iniziale. Credo che gli LLM stiano lavorando su questo, riprendendo il prompt iniziale che dopo un po' si è perso, ma siamo ancora molto indietro.

@katttivizzima i software che dovrebbero rilevare l'uso di IA usano euristiche che possono o no funzionare, ne sappiamo qualcosa con Wikipedia (in italiano), che non ammette voci create con l'IA e richiede di indicare se la si è usata per migliorare la prosa lasciando un contenuto "umano". La mia prosa, per esempio, ha troppi incisi per sembrare generata da un LLM, ma visto che sono spesso analitico potrebbe comunque essere scambiata per un lavoro di un computer. @aitech
