@rysiek A lot of organisations have a very predictable usage of their services or products and therefore do not have the need for dynamic scalability. It is not difficult to maintain your own hardware for (web) hosting, hell, it might even be more affordable in the long run. Well, actually it is more affordable and is also makes you less susceptible for these kind of outages.

Wow this is going to be massively, massively expensive for AWS due to all the contractual penalties they'll have to pay out to their clients based on their five-nines SLA contracts and hahahahahaha nope just joking why would Amazon agree to any such thing!

Qui è dove secondo me la decentralizzazione fa la differenza: tante piccole istanze decentralizzate necessitano molti meno soldi di una grossa unica istanza centralizzata.
Questo è un punto su cui insisto abbastanza da diverso tempo: l'obiettivo non dovrebbe essere costruire un WA alternativo, perchè semplicemente non lo si può fare senza avere dietro una enorme quantità di risorse.
Invece l'obiettivo dovrebbe semplificare la possibilità per ogni utente di avere la sua piccola istanza familiare.
L'ostacolo vero su cui lavorare è la necessità di avere almeno una base di competenza informatica per poter gestire la propria istanza di qualsiasi cosa.
Vabbeh, sto divagando...
Il punto è che se fai una miriade di piccole istanze servono meno soldi e meno risorse o perlomeno risorse più diffuse.

@TomAoki no, it doesn't look like something like this. I've just been to a ink shop in the city center, they say the toner cartdriges is probably too old (7 years) and some of the rubber parts have become loosy. I'll try to clean and check it in the coming days. Meanwhile, we changed the ink in the office one and I'm now printing
