@jan it was quick but my instance was offline for 20 minutes (after a confirmation by YunoHost that it was successfully upgraded) so I was super anxious. All good now 😅

@elena I would asume the updating binaries took 1:15 and the rest was Database migration and update. If you have a lot of posts it needs to update all of them. Can't tell without reading the code.

@jan@dytrych.cloud @elena Someone on the GtS help channel on matrix had his migration run for over 75 hours (IIRC he was upgrading to rc-1 or 2 at the time). 20 mins is great !

@antoine_ali @elena mine (and i'm the maintainer of the GoToSocial YunoHost package) took 4 hours and 45 minutes, but my server is not powerful and is running using slow 5400 rpm hard drives

@CyberSaloperie @antoine_ali I would have had a mini heart attack if my GoToSocial instance was unresponsive for 4 hours. Wow! Good to know for the future 😅​

Honestly, 1 minute 15 second for the confirmation on YunoHost (I timed it with a stopwatch) and 20 or so minutes offline was SUPER FAST all things considered ❤️​​​

@thomas yes! the update on YunoHost took 1 min 15 seconds and the instance was offline for 20 minutes but then all good. I'm still here! 😅​
