Let's climb a mountain!

Breathtaking view from up here!
Now down again! Having luck with the season, a lot of blooming Rhododendron bushes.

@blinry Oof. But surely a breathtaking path as well. You didn’t count the stairs I guess 😅
-
Why is blinry climbing a mountain, why are they climbing a mountain?
@blinry Did you hug the mountain? Did you make love to the mountain?
-

@blinry to hug the mountain!
-
Made it to the top, in a bit under 2 hours.
Hiked the last few meters together with this person, who really wanted to take a selfie with a foreigner! ;)
@blinry wow!
-

@blinry to hug the mountain. To envelop that mountain.
-
On the ascent, I got to practice my nǐhǎo a lot, the trail was somewhat busy!
People seem surprised, but happy, when I try. And then often respond something I don't understand. 😬 Maybe meaning "good luck, you can do it"?
And I got an English "Welcome to China!" :P
@blinry they probably look confused because Shenzhen doesn't have a lot of white people, let alone white people who bother learning any Chinese. Could you attempt to romanize what they say back to you? I speak a bit and my wife speaks more (we currently live in China for work) so I might be able to tell you what they're saying.
-
I ike the view after 10 minutes already!
@blinry nicely framed as well!
-
Breathtaking view from up here!
@blinry the guardrails whisper 'Riven' to me a little.

@blinry Ich finde es besonders schön, wenn die Blüten im Mondlicht leuchten.
-
Let's climb a mountain! This is the entrance of the 碧桐道 trail, leading to the top of Mount Wutong.
@blinry Great photos and view! BTW I forget, what's the geological term for steps that naturally form up a mountain, sometimes with handrails? -

@wombatpandaa By now I forgot :) Maybe I can pay attention on a future hike!

@blinry holding on to phrases from another language is hard so I completely understand!

My report was cut short by the chaos.social outage today, but I had a nice (but exhausting) hike down on the other side of the mountain! :)
A bit below the top, there was a little convenience store, and numerous drink vending machines.

Oh, something else that I found on the top of the mountain: Surveillance cameras. #china

@blinry needs more cameras, and at least one flock.

@blinry they were everywhere on a trail we went. Especially on small paths that branched off the main "official" tourist trail.
Also rest stops by the road in the mountains.
