Had an interesting revelation during an interview today.
One of the sequelae of the Industrial Revolution has been specialisation of workers in the working class and generalisation of the members of the executive class. Curiously, while this is clearly a capitalism issue, this is also something that all non-trivial self-described-as-Communist countries have followed, as far as I know. But I digress.
So, importantly, a common side effect of the #ADHD experience is, one tends to specialise in generalisation.
But insomuch as generalisation in the job market is popularly associated with the executive class, having this particular experience track without the "other" markers of belonging to the executive social class can strike a neurotypical working-class colleague as bogus, pretentious, or "uppity".

There's a great German phrase, and it's officially used, too, which always helps: Facharzt für Allgemeinmedizin, a Specialist Doctor in General Medicine.
