@stefano I’ve been using Ivory since the beginning and even though I‘ve tried others, I always come back to it.

I recently tried the new Mona release and it was probably the closest I had to replacing Ivory, but it couldn’t quite win me over.

I tried Ice Cubes, but never got along with it.

@stefano @_elena Yeah, it‘s great that it works, but from my testing the delays are just a lot longer and it‘s subject to spam filtering possibly messing with things.

LX zone sounds interesting, I‘ll be curious to read about your attempts!

@stefano @_elena I was also looking at it. The config files all seem to be in the repository. Plus they are using a forked dovecot with one patch.

So should be doable on a different system with some trial and error. How much work it would be to maintain would be another question.

@stefano @_elena I‘m a bit disappointed that the only supported chatmail setup is their automated install on a Debian VM. Some OS diversity would be pretty nice here.

I finally published the redesign of my website!
I wanted to wait to also have a new blog post ready, but it felt more important right now to just get the design of out the door.

After many years of using pre-made templates that all looked very plain, I've finally made my own thing from scratch.

This means that for the first time I actually know about all of the little things that make up the website and I could give it personality.

It:
- has Color
- uses no Javascript
- has a little hidden animation
- is maintainable
- maintains compatibility with all old links
- is just plain more fun

I'm really happy with it and already have plans on what to add to it in the future

Okay, I compiled a list of all of the websites and blogs that people either send me or that I found in the profile links of the people who boosted the toot.

Seems like I won't get bored the next little while.

If I find anything that particularly peeks my interest, I will make sure to highlight it in some form :3

My own instance just rate-limited me, because I was going through all of the profiles of people that boosted the post, to see if they have websites or blogs.

WTF Mastodon? Any why is the limit hard-coded? Not cool
