Well, whatever we name it ... I have to put clothes on the radiator before getting dressed: they come out of the wardrobe damp. Legumes mould despite optimum storage temperature. Windows fogging up on the outside. A friend discovers a natural spring in the cellar. Foundations are absorbing water and will break during the next drought. Everything is damp, many people's joints groan.

We urgently need reforms for a better protection of the EU against far-right and fascist leaders of member states who are constantly crashing democratic values!

#Mycelium is one of the foundations of life. It permeates the entire soil of earth. Most food plants cannot survive at all without symbiosis with mycorrhiza (= mycelium firmly connected to their roots). Every good compost has plenty of mycelium.
@c_salem Such projects are already funded by the EU, e.g. the Belgian company Permafungi.
And the packages are in the shops. In France e.g. https://www.embelium.fr/ - and outside the EU you have Mushroom Packaging UK.

@Broadfork I must confess to my shame that, as a lazy gardener, I have never sieved compost. 😎 I let the little critters do the work, and I don't mind some small pieces of wood.
But I don't have amounts like you, and use the compost when it's like soil.
For bigger amounts this trommel is great!

@andijah Indeed. But in my experience, social media teams in many organisations are completely overwhelmed at first – it's a hurdle. That's why I always recommend: get there first, then get communicating. And once you have the technical know-how and capacity, you can build something of your own. Unfortunately, most teams these days are paid very poorly to make the minimum only.

What many externs can't imagine: to get away from the algorithm driven big platforms feels like training to become sober. And then happens the wonder when you feel completely liberated, you can finally talk about your own topics again. Without fear to get shadowbanned or silenced for a word like climate change or diversity.

What's missing in the Fedi are local connections when you depend on real visitors. Hashtags don't work satisfactorily for this. Our groups are only boosting bots. One reason why the museum for which I unofficially do storytelling is officially on Facebook and Instagram: it is that that's where the real visitors are.
I can only encourage people to focus on communication rather than numbers. But this requires people power within the institutions.
