然后,研究“主域 abc.xy 显示身份、实例跑在 social.abc.xy”的可行性。

Destroying Autocracy – November 13, 2025Welcome to this week’s “Destroying Autocracy”.It’s your source for curated news affecting democracy in the cyber arena with a focus on protecting it. That necessitates an opinionated Butlerian jihad against big tech as well as evangelizing for open-source and the Fediverse. Since big media’s journalism wing is flailing and failing in its core duty to democracy, this is also a collection of alternative reporting on the eternal battle between autocracy and democracy. We also cover the cybersecurity world. You can’t be free without safety and privacy.FYI, my opinions will be in bold. And will often involve cursing. Because humans. Especially tech bros. Sometime I see people do the following and I do not know why.1. Start a thread with its visibility set to "public". (post A)2. Get a reply with its visibility set to "public". (post B)3. Reply to that "public" reply with your reply's visibility set to "unlisted". (post C)Is it to protect the privacy of post B's user? The topics are often technical, not personal, so that makes little sense to me.Is it to reduce the number of posts in your public feed? Wouldn't your subscribers want to read the technical discussions in which you participate? Why do they do that? If it is due to the default behaviour of the software they use, why was this behaviour chosen by the author of that software?#activitypub#etiquette#help#netiquette#theguidetotheperplexed

The major feature in v3.2.0 of Ktistec is thread analysis. The previous release, v3.1.2, added support for viewing threads from Lemmy communities. I follow the Open Source community, which leads to many large threads. The thread on FFMpeg and Google has 112 posts and is still growing.Thread analysis helps me navigate these extensive conversations. It includes: top contributors, a timeline histogram, and notable branches. The analysis applies several heuristics to identify interesting branches of the main thread. “Interesting” is subjective, but the algorithm currently looks for sudden bursts of activity and highlights those areas. Ktistec uses this to create a table of contents that links directly to those branches. Clicking on one of these links takes you to a branch-only view that focuses on the selected part of the thread. It's fast—I anticipated needing to cache analyses, but analyzing a thread with over 400 posts takes only about 50 milliseconds on my production server.Figure 1: Screenshot of the final design. Notable branches link to subsets of the thread. This release also addresses an object visibility regression that was introduced in a previous version.Full ChangelogAddedThread analysis that displays key participants, a timeline histogram, and notable branchesNew MCP tools: analyze_thread and get_threadFocal point rendering support for image attachmentsFixedRegression in object visibility affecting replies to threadsChangedEnhanced MCP tool details for likes, dislikes, and announcesImproved cookie security.#ktistec #fediverse #activitypub #crystallang

When I first started #blogging, I used the most popular #CMS, #Wordpress. If you've read my previous posts, you know I never got along with it—which is why I have my new love, #Hugo 🥰.I haven't deleted it though, and I very occasionally post there. This is my latest:➡️ https://eclecticpassions.net/blog/improve-personal-productivity-modified-eisenhower-matrix/One day, I'll convert it to a static site, but I haven't gotten the chance yet.Meanwhile, I installed the #ActivityPub #wordpressplugins to see how it works... seems I can't get quoting to work.

Our ActivityPub relay is back online! https://relay.disobey.net has been offline since moving our disobey.net Mastodon instance from Seattle to Amsterdam earlier this year. Sorry! If you're an admin of a fediverse instance, please join! Like with our other services, this relay is hosted on our own hardware and uses our own IPv6/IPv4 subnets under AS 396507 ^_^#ActivityPub #Mastodon #MastoAdmin #Pleroma #PleromaAdmin #Fediverse

@bengo>What does ActivityPub + Ethereum look like? This was the first thing I tried. Mitra had NFTs, token gate and subscriptions:https://codeberg.org/silverpill/mitra-contractsBut there was very little interest, and self-hosting Ethereum node is too expensive anyway, so I removed the integration later. We still support Sign-In with Ethereum, though.
